Brief History of Rene M. Caisse RN and ESSIAC® Herbal Medicine

In 1922, a patient spoke to Nurse Rene M. Caisse of a Canadian Ojibwa Indian herbal medicine that had helped restore her health.  Nurse Caisse prepared her proprietary herbal medicine into a drink for her aunt for her illness.  Within a few months her aunt's health improved significantly.  She lived for many more years.  Her proprietary herbal formula was named ESSIAC®, which is Nurse Caisse's name spelled backwards.

From 1922 to 1978 Nurse Caisse helped many people with her proprietary herbal medicine.  Although she refused payments for her services she accepted donations to help support her health clinic in Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada.  Rene M. Caisse dedicated her life to helping others alleviate their pain and suffering using her ESSIAC® herbal medicine.  During the past 90 years many people have confirmed the effectiveness of Nurse Rene M. Caisse's proprietary herbal medicine.

In 1977, Nurse Rene M. Caisse signed over all rights to her proprietary herbal medicine and trademark to a Canadian Company giving her the assurance she sought, namely that ESSIAC®, made only in Canada, to help alleviate suffering and ESSIAC® be given offical public recognition.  ESSIAC® has withstood the test of time and is exported worldwide.
